Many resolutions begin with effort.

There’s a yoga idea I keep coming back to as the new year begins.
Many messages invite us to become someone better.
Many resolutions begin with effort.
Yoga offers a different starting place:
the recognition that nothing essential about you is missing.
This doesn’t mean we stop learning.
It means we stop searching for worth.
From this place, change is no longer driven by pressure, fear, or comparison.
It becomes a quiet unfolding.
Our horses are no different.
They are not missing anything either.
In my experience — with movement, with horses, with life —
nothing meaningful emerges when we believe we are incomplete.
Presence grows when we remember we are already enough.
